Corporate Partnerships Officer Role Description

Purpose of the Role

  • Support the Corporate Partnerships Manager (Account Management) on the delivery and development of current partners;
  • Account Manage Stonewall’s lower value corporate partnerships <£15k;
  • Support on administration of Stonewall’s LGBT-inclusive job site; Proud Employers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Advertising and Proud Employers

  • Manage the day to day running of Proud Employers - including uploading jobs, answering email and telephone enquiries, and liaising with the website provider on technical issues and updates
  • Act as the first point of contact for Proud Employers general enquiries, and introduce new Diversity Champions to the site
  • Conduct prospect research in coordination with the Corporate Partnerships Officer (Advertising) to identify new Proud Employers users
  • Manage stewardship of site users, planning correspondence and asks to maintain site-use and minimise drop off
  • Work with Finance and Operations to manage all advertising invoicing and track income against annual targets

Corporate Partnerships

  • Act as first point of contact for general enquiries about corporate partnerships
  • Work with Corporate Partnerships Manager (Account Management) to provide bespoke information about Stonewall’s partnership opportunities to prospect organisations
  • Account manage lower level corporate partnerships <£15k, as directed by Corporate Partnerships Manager (Account Management)
  • Assist when necessary with the contracting, documenting and invoicing of partnerships and agreements.

General Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct the duties of the job description in accordance with the operational policies of Stonewall, including but not limited to the diversity policy, code of conduct, social media policy, data protection policies and other Stonewall policies.
  • Maintain good working relations with all stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, Trustees, partner organisations and others.
  • Contribute to the general administration and delivery of all Stonewall’s programmes, events and overall objectives.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required by the role.

Corporate Partnerships Officer Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a fast moving, target driven environment with proven success in winning new business
  • Proven experience of either corporate fundraising, sales, business development or account management
  • Experience of identifying, developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Experience of approaching clients by phone, face to face and in writing
  • Track record of exceeding financial targets
  • Ability to spot and seize new business opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Proven ability of exhibiting strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to deadlines, prioritising workloads and multitasking
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and experience of using databases
  • A commitment to the aims and objectives of Stonewall

Corporate Partnerships Officer Key Terms and Conditions

Place of Work            188 – 192 St John Street, London EC1V 4JY.

Working Week          This is a full-time permanent position, comprising a total working week of 35  hours. The demands of this post require a flexible approach to both timing and duration of the working day, however, you will be expected to work during Stonewall’s core office hours which are Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

Salary Scale                The salary will be £23,419, rising to £25,615 after a year, and is paid retrospectively on the 24th day of each month. This is a Stonewall salary band 6 position.

Annual Leave             25 days annual leave (rising by 1 additional day for each year of service completed by 1st October, up to a maximum of 30 days), 3 additional ‘Stonewall Days’ over Christmas, 1 day’s holiday to be taken on or around your birthday and the eight statutory holidays.

Pension                      Stonewall will contribute up to 9% of salary to the Stonewall pension scheme.

Sick Pay                      Prior to completion of the probationary period, sick pay is at the Chief Executive’s discretion. Thereafter, an employee who is absent from work due to sickness will be paid up to four weeks at full pay and four weeks at half pay in any 12-month period. After two years continuous service, an employee absent from work due to sickness will be paid up to 12 weeks full pay and 12 weeks half pay in any 12-month period.    

Probation & Notice    The post is subject to a six month probationary period.  During this period, you will be entitled to receive, and are required to give, at least two weeks’ notice of termination, which must be in writing. After successful completion of your probationary period you are entitled to receive, and are required to give 1 months’ notice of termination, which must be in writing.
