Position: Support Worker
Location: ST Austell, Cornwall
Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2019
Hours: 1x 37.5 hours per week, 2 x 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £15,533 per annum pro rata

About the role:

They are currently going through a large period of growth and have vacancies for Support Worker 37.5 hours and Support Worker (x2) 22.5 hours fixed term until 31st March 2019.

The Support Worker will effectively support the management of an assigned caseload contingent on needs, strengths, abilities and preferences of the service user served. You will provide effective support for service users involved in the service.

You will possess clear understanding of the service delivery and resources available for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will also ensure that all service users and their children are given the security and support to maximise their independence, dignity and choice in accordance with the aims of the project.

About you:

You should have excellent assessment skills, good interpersonal skills and excellent communication and advocacy skills. You should be organised and able to work on own initiative, able to be creative and proactive and have the ability to problem solve and demonstrate flexible working to overcome barriers.

You will also make a positive contribution to effective team working with a non-judgemental approach to working with homeless people. You should be able to analyse and produce reports for presentation in a variety of formats, have a willingness to work outside of normal hours with a flexible approach to work, adaptable to change with a “can do” approach.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.
