An opportunity has opened up with an international NGO for a Head of People and Culture. 

The role will be based in central London with occasional overseas travel. The work they do is focused on peace building across Africa, Asia and Europe.

The Head of People and Culture will provide leadership and oversee the development and delivery of the HR strategy. The position manages the provision of effective and professional human resource services and advice. Including the design and implementation of policies, practices and strategic initiatives to ensure skilled and motivated people are recruited, retained and promoted in every area of the organisation.

The Head will contribute regularly to organisational learning and strategy development, be an active member of the organisational management group, and meet with the executive team monthly.

The successful candidate will have significant proven experience at a senior level in HR management preferably in an international NGO.  S/he will have a track record in developing and delivering HR people strategy and of advising HR managers and senior staff and be a CIPD member at Chartered or Fellow level or with equivalent experience.  The post-holder will have the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people, including across cultures and to lead and motivate a positive and inclusive team ethos.
