Trainee Support Officer and Activity Coordinator

The Harborne Parish Lands Charity has an exciting and unique opportunity to transform the lives of older people.

The Harborne Parish Lands Charity is a grant making trust and almshouse provider in the ancient parish of Harborne. We are recruiting a Trainee Support Officer and Activity Coordinator to help our sheltered accommodation residents to live happy and fulfilled lives.

The Trainee Support Officer and Activity Coordinator will devise and develop a programme of activities that satisfy the social needs of our residents while assisting the charity’s existing support team to help our residents live independently. This programme of activities will help to address the social isolation and lack of stimulation that can affect older people.

Although experience of planning activities in any setting will be of benefit a ‘can do’ attitude and the desire to succeed is more important as internal training will be offered.
