Head of Individual Engagement
Fixed Term Contract until end of October 2019
We’re Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity – and we’re dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live.
This is an exciting time to be joining Breast Cancer Now’s Individual Engagement team. With an established programme in place, and a plan to rapidly grow income over the next five years, we are looking to significantly invest in direct marketing activities specifically focussed around regular giving and lottery. It is rare to find a role with the scope to implement a big growth plan within a short period, and with a fantastic team in place to help you develop to the next level. There is scope to drive messaging for a cause that is already successful with a wide and varied work load to get stuck into.
You will be responsible for generating income in excess of £8 million per year through the acquisition and retention of new and existing individual supporters. Individual supporters include Regular Givers, Lottery players, cash donors, Legacy pledgers and Payroll Givers and you will build and lead activity across multiple media channels such as Face to Face, Telemarketing, Direct mail and Digital.
An inspiring and passionate leader you will motivate the team, ensuring they have the skills required to meet, if not exceed, the income and investment targets required.
We are looking for a dynamic fundraiser with energy and vision who leads by example; someone with emotional intelligence and the ability to build and manage a diverse portfolio, with a track record of significant success. An exceptional leader, who will shape and lead on our strategic objectives and delivery of income you will be a talented and experienced direct marketer, who is committed to delivering the best supporter experience possible.
