Job Details
I am working with a well established Humanitarian Aid organisation who is hoping to appoint a Major Gifts Manager on a permanent basis. The organisation has a committed group of major donors made up of individuals, corporate supporters and trusts & foundations and they currently define a major donor as any supporter or company who donates 5,000 and above.
Job Purpose:
To be responsible for team strategy and managing a small selection of the highest value accounts as well as broaden, grow and secure the charity's funding base.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Major Gifts team in the development and planning of the Major Gifts strategy, as part of strategic and annual plan
Lead the production of the organisations strategic and annual plans for Major Giving
Lead the Major Gifts Team, securing income and achieving targets from major donors, foundations, and corporate supporters.
Ensure the team have the skill set to achieve these targets
Lead the Major Gifts Team in the recruitment and development of high net worth individuals, trusts, and corporate partners
Essential Criteria
Experience of major giving fundraising, with a proven track record in planning & management against budget, timescale and deadlines.
Experience of personally securing 5+ figure gifts
Creative, innovative and analytical skills with an ability to think laterally in order to identify and respond quickly to new opportunities
Exceptional and engaging written and oral communication skills
Line management experience is essential
Experience with reporting and budgeting
