Job Details
An International development charity based in London is looking for a Web Manager
The purpose of the role is to lead the development, monitoring and optimisation of content for the website, responsible for commissioning and overseeing the creation web content and accountable for demonstrating effectiveness and continuous improvement. To partner with brand, marketing and content teams to ensure outputs are joined up to maximise impact and optimise audience journeys.
The organisation is looking for a proactive, forward thinking, confident candidate who will be the go to for content delivery and optimisation. This role incorporates line management of 2 employees.
Essential skills
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification / experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience of working with online content management systems
- Good understanding of Google Analytics.
- In-depth understanding of the implications of search engine optimisation, usability and accessibility for digital content.
- Strong grasp and current knowledge of social media sites and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of how multimedia content can enhance website user experience.
- Ability to measure and evaluate the success of digital content and to plan for improvements
Knowledge

Essential Experience
- Proven experience of managing websites in a media, in-house comms or agency environment.
- Experience of working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with selecting and manipulating images (e.g. with Photoshop).
