Content and Engagement Manager

MS Trust

c£36,000

Letchworth, Herts

Full-time, permanent

Our vision is to enable people with MS to live their lives to the full.

The MS Trust helps people live well with MS, by ensuring they receive the best possible care and the highest quality information. Over 100,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with MS, which remains the most common cause of neurological disability in young adults. Because diagnosis is usually in their 20s and 30s, the impact on the individual and their family is life changing and life-long.

Whilst acknowledging that a diagnosis of MS can be devastating for both the individual and their family, the MS Trust believes that with good information and the support of specialist professionals, positive steps can be taken to improve and maintain their quality of life.

Access to information is vitally important for people when they receive their first diagnosis and as they learn to manage the effects of the condition is it manifests itself for them as an individual. One of the key drivers for why the MS Trust was established was to provide the best possible information, guidance and support to people affected by MS. No other provider offers the depth of expertise that the Trust has developed since it was founded in 1993.

Today the MS Trust’s Information and Engagement Service exists to ensure that people with MS can access information that is based on the best available evidence and which drives real change by focusing on the topics that have the most impact.

The role of the Content and Engagement Manager is fundamental to the delivery of this service and vitally important to the 100,000 people in the UK with MS.

It would be great if you had a background in the delivery of a health education service, but it is not essential. What will be essential though is the ability to assimilate complex medical information and make it readily accessible to people in the ways that they want to receive it and when. Excellent writing skills are a must as well as a detailed up-to-date working knowledge of digital information delivery channels.

First interview: 4th September, TBC
