An experienced Challenge Event Manager with a demonstrable background of managing events to deliver and grow an events portfolio, you’ll be an integral member of the Public Fundraising team, delivering our biggest Challenge Events. These include the Virgin Money London Marathon, Prudential Ride London as well as overseeing the management of all other events in our Running, Cycling, Overseas and UK Adventures, plus the Extreme Challenges programmes that make up our Challenge Event Portfolio.

You’ll work closely with our Senior Events Manager to develop the strategy for our Challenge Events and also manage a team of 2 Event Officers to deliver the events. With experience of generating income growth and delivering end-to-end Event Management including successfully marketing events across a wide range of channels, you’ll have a deep understanding of working with event companies and third parties as well as process management.

An excellent communicator, confident in managing a new and existing portfolio of events, delivering high value stewardship in order to increase life-time value to Barnardo's, you’ll also have a good understanding of working strategically. We’ll look to you to use your creative skills and initiative to seek ways to improve our Challenge Events offering and confidently run multiple events, delivering them on time and within budget.
