Job Details
Reporting into the Director of People Services you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the Organisational Development team including Inclusion and Engagement.
Your key accountabilities will include:-
- Scoping out the Organisational Development strategy, organisation-wide implementation plans and outlining the key deliverables and resource implications.
- Monitoring Organisational Development progress against strategic priorities and overall strategic outcomes.
- Leading the employee engagement diagnostic processes and act as a sponsor to employee engagement initiatives, engaging leaders to drive real change from employee insight.
- Engaging with leaders, managers and key stakeholders to ensure the alignment of organisation values and beliefs with engagement plans.
- Taking the lead on the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation.
- Devising and promoting the Council's long term learning strategy including working effectively internally and externally to lead the innovative design of learning interventions.
- Negotiating and managing major third party contracts for the delivery of learning and training services.
- Assessing the leadership and management development needs of the organisation.
You should be of graduate calibre with a track record of identifying Organisational Development requirements and have significant experience of working with leaders and key stakeholders to shape and implement effective Organisational Development strategies and interventions. It is essential that you have experience of leading, managing and co-ordinating multi-discipline teams. A pro-active and adaptable approach needs to be combined with an understanding of local government.
