Job Details

The Aziz Foundation is an independent grant making body that seeks to support the most disadvantaged communities in Britain. It aims to do this by encouraging development in these communities and fostering greater public engagement in wider society. The Foundation seeks to support individuals and projects, strengthen organisations and networks, and help incubate innovative ideas that will ultimately improve the conditions in and for these communities.

We are delighted to be working together with the Aziz Foundation to recruit a Grants Administrator.

The post holder will support the work of the Grants Officer, ensuring a collaborative effort results in a strong selection and management process for the Foundation's grants. They will be responsible for all aspects of grants management, including assisting in the assessment of grant applications, providing applicants with application packs and advice, and monitoring grantee performance. In order to achieve an efficient and effective service, the post holder will provide administrative support to the Grants Officer, which will include planning meetings and preparing reports for senior stakeholders. The role will also involve the maintenance of electronic databases, with the aim of ensuring all grant records and contacts are up to date and accurate at all times. Other duties and responsibilities will include acting as a trusted ambassador for the Foundation, living its core values in day-to-day duties and working closely with other members of the team.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree (or equivalent) level and possess demonstrable experience of grant making and an understanding of the grant making process. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office. Furthermore, they will have advanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating diplomacy and tact in all interactions. With a meticulous attention to detail, they will also possess the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Key desirable qualities include a commitment to the values of the Aziz Foundation and a passion for working with disadvantaged communities, regardless of background.Â

To apply for the role, please submit your CV (Word format); cover letters are not required at this stage. A full job description will be provided to candidates shortlisted by Prospectus.
