Care Manager (Children and Young People)

Our client’s School & Children’s Home supports children and young people aged 5 - 19 with learning disabilities and other complex health needs, employing staff to provide care and support on a 24hour / 52 week basis.

Position: Child Care Manager
Location: Harlow (Commutable from Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Enfield, Chelmsford and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Variable shifts to suit service needs
Salary: £30,301 to £33,926 per annum

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Child Care Manager. They are seeking someone who is committed to leading and supervising a dedicated staff team, supporting Children and young people in their care and learning plans on a day to day basis, enabling them to overcome all barriers to learning and develop the skills they need to move into as independent an adult lifestyle as possible.

The successful postholder will be reporting directly to the Registered Care Manager and working alongside other Child Care Managers delivering a high standard of care and professional practice.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with people with learning difficulties in a care setting and a proven track record within a registered residential setting. You will hold a relevant Level 4 or 5 NVQ or Diploma as well as having knowledge of relevant children’s home / Ofsted legislation.

Additionally, you will have experience of managing and implementing person centred plans and an ability to lead, motivate and support a dedicated care staff team.

You may have experience of the following: Care Manager, Support Team Manager, Residential Care Manager, Residential Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Training, Development, Health and Social Care, Learning Difficulties, Children, Level 4, Level 5 etc.
