Job Details

Are you an innovative and ambitious Finance Manager looking for a 3 day a week part time role, with the desire to join us and bring forward the day when all cancers are cured?

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to...

  • Job share the management of the financial planning, analysis and control across specific fundraising teams (for example Stand Up 2 Cancer)
  • Support, advise and provide challenge to the leadership teams in developing business plans and monitoring performance, whilst building strong business partnering relationships as part of an embedded team.
  • Lead, develop and inspire Finance Analysts to meet the reporting, budgeting and business partnering needs of the fundraising teams, adding value to business decision-making through challenge, initiative and insight.

Here at Cancer Research UK, our understanding of cancer is increasing at a faster pace than ever before, and more people are surviving thanks to the work we do. Every step we make towards beating cancer relies on every pound, every hour and every person, and our 3,500 people work relentlessly every day towards this goal, and we need finance professionals who can expertly track this.

Help us bring forward the day when all cancers are cured through your...

  • Analytical ability and insight to inform decision making and shape the direction of fundraising teams.
  • Experience of producing and developing monthly and quarterly income & expenditure reporting, whilst analysing income trends and activity on a regular basis and feeding findings into forecasts and long term planning models.
  • Experience of leading on the preparation and execution of all financial planning for income and expenditure, in partnership with the operational teams in fundraising (including forecasting, budgeting and 5 year plans).

Our relentless drive towards beating cancer means that we're constantly trying new avenues, which means you'll be innovative and open-minded to new ways of working.

You'll have a highly analytical approach to problem solving, with the ability to provide specialist advice and guidance to non finance professionals. You'll also be responsible for running projects with the fundraising teams, driving progress/improvement and evaluating and communicating results, so communication and people skills are key. It'll be really important to work closely with the co-manager in this role to ensure synergy of support for your business areas.

If this describes you, you can enjoy a great career with us as, together, we bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
