Are you an Automation Tester with proven automation experience?

Proven experience using Selenium Web Driver/ Cucumber JVM?

Looking for a new challenge as part the world's largest independent cancer research organisation?

 

We are looking for keen, enthusiastic and passionate Testers who have proven automation testing experience, ideally gained using Selenium Web Driver to provide a range of automated testing techniques to ensure the quality of software products at Cancer Research UK are at the appropriate standard and the products work exactly as they should..

 

As Automation Tester, your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for creating and executing testing activities to ensure services meet requirements
  • Responsible for rigorously planning, writing, executing and automating test scripts
  • Defining and writing acceptance tests in BDD format from requirements
  • Ensure all regression test scripts are automated where possible
  • Provide reports on testing results, coverage and make recommendations where necessary
  • Use of risk based methodologies to ensure optimum scripts run for each release
  • Play an active role in the scrum team, communicating with all team members, product owners and business
  • Ensure all deliverables are well documented, re-usable, and reviewed

  • Selenium (web driver)/Cucumber JVM or equivalent
  • CI (Jenkins)
  • Experience of using SCM, ideally GIT
  • Web API test automation
  • Understanding of web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Java etc.)
  • Ability to code in Java
  • SQL Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience testing software in a true agile delivery environment
  • Writing, executing and automating test scripts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge and experience of web and other interactive technologies
  • Experience of the full software development lifecycle.

 

You'll possess technical knowledge of Technology & Change Testing for propriety software regression testing. You'll also need excellent problem solving skills, an attention to detail when executing test scenarios and a drive to take responsibility for your own career development.
