Raisers Edge Database and Insights Manager

I am currently looking for an experienced Raisers Edge Database and Insights Manager for a children's charity to maintain the performance, integrity and the security of the fundraising database. You will provide a high-quality service to database users across the fundraising team and offer training and support to fundraisers to ensure consistent use of the Raisers Edge database.

Main duties:
Liaise regularly with colleagues in the fundraising and finance teams to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of the fundraising accounts and allocation of donations, including monthly imports of gifts onto Raiser's Edge where appropriate.
Responsible for day to day management and running of Raisers Edge.
Work with the senior management team and department heads to develop and maintain the database, including version updates and process improvements.
Import and reconcile income in a timely manner, updating staff on donations, conducting all data entry requirements including accurately recording the receipt of all gifts, issuing thank you letters and donation reminders to donors as appropriate.
Make recommendations to team on best practice and process within the charity sector.
Maintain relationships with third party providers and to download and import data from third party websites (JustGiving, Virgin Money Giving, CAF).
Manage regular data cleaning exercises as appropriate.
Maintain and ensure compliance in line with data protection and fundraising regulation.
Lead on resolving database problems.
Work with the fundraising and finance team to ensure systems, processes, records and financial data are synchronised.
Carry out a monthly reconciliation exercise with finance team to agree income on RE with the finance accounting system (SAGE).
Deal with queries from the finance team.
Run Gift Aid claims on a quarterly basis and the annual Gift Aid Small Donation Scheme
Develop and maintain reports for use by the fundraising team.
Provide monthly and ad hoc reporting for all levels of management.
Support the setup and delivery of insight reporting.
Work with the finance team on the improvement or setting up of a new coding structure.
Be responsible for the integrity of all income data on Raisers Edge.
Be conversant and have a working knowledge of GDPR, regulations from the Information
Commissioners office (ICO), Fundraising Regulator, FPS etc.
Work with relevant members of the fundraising team to identify, implement and maintain supporter segmentations on the database. Establish data segmentation and hierarchy for mass communications to supporters.
Manage data profiling exercises as required.
Ensure that fundraisers are aware of the importance of exceptional record-keeping for all supporters and high value prospects and donors and ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to maintain this on Raiser's Edge.
Train staff to a good level of knowledge and identify any additional training needs.
Keep and maintain training records on data protection and fundraising regulation and ensure all concerns and questions regarding these are answered in a timely manner or escalated accordingly.
Ensure that the fundraising team is fully compliant with regulations on data handling and that all work with external contractors (e.g. for the provision of data for large-scale mailings) meets internal and external compliance regulations.
