Prospectus is delighted to be working with Diabetes UK, a leading UK charity that supports people affected by diabetes and takes responsibility to lead the fight against the growing crisis; their vision is a world where diabetes can do no harm. They are currently seeking a Volunteer & Support Officer to lead on successfully matching volunteers to spread awareness of the importance of preventing diabetes. This role is offered as a job share (Monday, Tuesday & Friday).

As their Volunteer & Support Officer, you will support their London Region team with all internal administrative support as well as acting as their first point of contact for all stakeholders who would benefit from accessing their pool of specially trained volunteers. Working collaboratively with external organisations and volunteers, you will be responsible for successfully matching volunteers to speak at client events and workshops to increase awareness of preventing diabetes. You will take a lead on end-to-end support including all admin associated to the team, volunteers and clients.

To be successful, you will have demonstrable experience of providing a full volunteer service for a similar organisation combined with exceptional customer service and administration experience. Due to the nature of this role, the ability to manage a high volume of internal and external admin tasks and enquiries is essential as is previous experience of supporting the delivery of a range of different health projects, within a busy team. Finally, you must possess experience of working with MS packages and working with volunteers.

To be considered, you must be available to work Mondays, Tuesdays and Friday and be opening to working as part of a job share.
