Customer Service Advisor
Our client has a lot to offer. They are consistently rated as amongst the best areas in the country to live, with excellent schools and healthcare, a huge array of green space, beautiful waterways, unique market towns and picturesque villages. They also enjoy high levels of employment and a diverse local economy, with the added benefit of being close to London and Cambridge and with good access to Stansted and Luton airports.

Position: Customer Service Advisor
Location: Wallfields, Hertford and/or Charringtons House, Bishops Stortford (Commutable from Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Harlow and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full Time, 18 month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £18,278 to £22,998 per annum (inclusive of local weighting)

About the role:
An exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Advisor has become available to work in Hertford as part of the customer service team. This motivated and highly professional team are looking for an individual committed to excellence in their work and with a passion for learning about the services the Council offers. If successful you will assist across all aspects of customer contact for the council including face to face interactions, telephone contact and in writing.
Responsibilities:
As a customer service advisor, you will support the customer service team leader. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Providing information to customers with general enquiries, taking payments and assisting with transactions
- Validating applications and giving advice on paid services
- Enable channel shifting by encouraging customers to use on-line self-service options
- Provide a comprehensive and efficient visitor management service at reception desks
- Develop your expertise in all council wide systems
- Contributing to the achievement of EHC’s Service Level Agreements and key performance indicators
About you:
This role will suit a detailed focused, energetic team player who thrives in interacting with customers on all contact platforms in a performance focused environment.
- Extensive customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience within a busy customer facing role
- A good level of competency using Microsoft Office, CRMs and other IT systems
You may have experience of the following: Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Agent, Customer Support, Customer Relations Executive, Customer Services Representative, Client Support, Public Sector etc.
