Director of Development
Manchester United Foundation
Old Trafford, Manchester
£60,000 - £65,000
Full-time, permanent
Manchester United Foundation is an independent youth charity that enjoys a close relationship with England’s most successful team and the world’s largest sports brand. It uses the power of football and the club’s reputation to deliver effective programmes at grass roots level. The Foundation engages young people from challenging communities and in doing so enhances their academic and life outcomes.
The Foundation has several high profile partnerships and excellent relationships with schools across Greater Manchester. It runs several engaging and innovative programmes ranging from player development at the FA Girls’ Regional Talent Club to Eat Well programmes tackling childhood obesity and the Enterprise Academy that provides young people with an insight into business skills.
The new Director of Development will be responsible for generating income through the development and implementation of an effective fundraising strategy in conjunction with all departments of the Foundation and the Club. This will involve identifying prospective sources of support and how best to maximise income across a range of activities including major donor cultivation and stewardship, corporate partnerships, events and public engagement.
We have an ambitious vision for its future and the right candidate will be integral to our growth on a regional, national and international level and we will only achieve this by continuing to generate funding opportunities that will change lives for the better.
