Job Details

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most successful and innovative legacies teams in the UK.

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

The Gifts in Wills team recruits and develops supporters who would like to leave a gift in their will or have already included a gift in their will to Unicef UK. Currently, we have over 50,000 such legacy handraisers. Our legacies programme is divided into the following key areas: Legacy administration, Legacy marketing campaign, new supporter welcome programme, stewardship and supporter care and In Memory Giving.

As Head of Gifts in Wills, you will inspire and lead a significant step-change in legacy fundraising at Unicef UK to drive medium to long term income growth. You will work across the organisation to secure support, align resources, activity and targets to support legacy development, and you will assess the suitability of new, innovative approaches for acquiring supporters with best fit for Unicef UK.  You will also contribute to the overall strategy for fundraising.

We are looking for a strong track record in fundraising with significant experience of legacy marketing. You will be proficient in running integrated campaigns using the full range of offline and online channels. An experienced manager, you will have demonstrable evidence of developing and implementing an ambitious strategy and of leading and motivating a team to deliver significant results.

Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.

Closing date: 5pm, Monday 30 July 2018

Interview date: Thursday 14 August 2018

This role is currently based in Farringdon.  From late August 2018, Unicef UK will relocate to Stratford (zone 2).  Our new offices will be close to the new Crossrail station and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Stratford is also served by the Jubilee and Central Lines, DLR, London Overground, TFL Rail and National Rail services.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
