Position: Senior Organisational Development Manager
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire (Commutable from Loughborough, Kettering, Coventry and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £49,248 plus local government pension, laptop, flexible working, generous leave entitlement

About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Organisational Development Manager, reporting to the recently appointed Head of HR. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the Organisational Development, Workforce Monitoring and Resourcing functions, whilst driving forward key organisational and localised development initiatives and overseeing the planning, delivery, evaluation and embedding of these interventions.
Organisational culture, leadership and performance management are key priorities, with a focus on the development and retention of key talent across the authority. The post-holder will be pivotal in identifying and shaping culture, promoting the authority’s vision of operating with creativity and drive for the benefit of Leicester and its people and embedding their new Leadership Qualities. The role will manage the development of corporate programmes, including; succession planning and resourcing strategies, promoting the use of management information in decision making and taking the lead in supporting significant organisational transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team responsible for highly effective organisational development interventions which support leaders / managers in achieving transformation, maximising performance and outcomes for all
- Actively engage our people, including the Corporate Management Team, to diagnose key people issues using an evidence-based approach to determine solutions
- Ensure that recruitment is aligned to the strategic direction of travel around workforce development and succession planning
- To help embed their vision and values and leadership qualities, shaping a culture which meets future needs in terms of accountability, flexibility and high performance
- Maintain robust and up to date information on the people profile of the client, analysing, interpreting and reporting on trends and metrics and actively evaluating people processes to inform appropriate HR interventions where needed
- Build constructive relationships with key stakeholders, including Trade Union colleagues and Employee Groups
About you:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about what they do, be resilient and positive with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders. They will be experienced in Organisational Development diagnostic and delivery, with an innovative and creative approach.
