Stronger Kent Communities consortium

SKC is a consortium made up of a number of different organisations across Kent focussed on the delivery of services to support the voluntary sector. Formed into a Community Interest Company our remit is to provide a voice for the voluntary and community sector and practical help to the organisations within it to establish a thriving economy.

We have won a KCC contract to deliver services to the voluntary and community sector across Kent from January 2017.  This replaces the funding previously granted to Volunteer Centres and Councils for Voluntary Services in Kent.  Our aim is not to reproduce previous service provision which means that 90% of the projects and services we will be running are either new initiatives or new ways of delivery. We aim to be both flexible and targeted in our approach and, as such, will be introducing pilot projects to assess viability.

This post will enable us to take the next step to a sustainable future and establish a structure for delivering this.

This is an initial 6-month contract, with possible extension, paying up to £60,000 pa pro rata. For an informal discussion about this post please contact Alex Krutnik (Chair Stronger Kent Communities) 01227 452 278

Interviews will be held on the 4th September 2018 at Action with Communities in Rural Kent, Penstock Hall Canterbury Road, East Brabourne, Ashford TN25 5LL
