This growing organisation is an international charity looking to transform the lives of those affected globally.

Description

  • Deliver unparalleled relationship management to regular Trust donors, including producing reports, tailored communications and timely feedback
  • Identify and research new trusts and foundations for the organisation's funded programmes
  • To prepare written funding applications and both narrative and financial reports on projects to maximise opportunities for gaining support from trusts
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure you are kept up to date with developments and that all communications with trusts are up to date
  • Represent the organisation at external networking meetings and meetings / presentations to potential or current trusts
  • Work closely with other Donor teams to ensure that fundraising activities are aligned and to maximise the potential of leveraging high value donations through other income streams
  • Coordinate with the Finance team on the preparation of budgets and finance reports to trusts and to ensure the monthly reconciliation of all income from trusts and foundations
  • Ensure all Trust fundraising activity and reporting is accurately recorded and maintain accurate and organised information systems
  • Build a productive working relationship with other members of the fundraising team and with other teams across the organisation globally
  • Effectively communicate the issues related to the organisation's work to internal and external audiences

Profile

Essential

  • Demonstrable fundraising experience with particular experience in successfully securing income from trust and foundations
  • Experience developing and maintaining a pipeline of donors
  • Proactive self-starter with great project and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with an ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) - particularly the ability to write compelling and persuasive funding applications
  • General knowledge of the fundraising sector, key trends and developments
  • Ability to work within both a team and independently, and with a flexible, can do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience with Raiser's Edge
  • Experience of raising funds for overseas development projects
  • Experience of working with colleagues based outside of the UK
  • Understanding of international development issues

Job Offer

  • Salary of between £25,000 - £27,000 commensurate with experience
  • Occasional travel abroad may be necessary
