Job Details

An international health membership charity is seeking an experienced Finance Officer for a permanent role in their London Headquarters.

The job will involve:

-All aspects of the Purchase / Sales ledgers processing, Cashbook & General ledger, including invoices generation and periodic supplier's statement reconciliation

-Maintenance of and data entry into computerised financial system(s). All aspects of updating / reconciliation of banks accounts, including banking monies and arranging payments (electronic & manual), journals, prepayments and accruals

-Reconciling 12 bank accounts

-Manage Project financial activities and budget preparation in close collaboration with the Project Managers

Assisting in credit control and chasing debtors by monthly reminders

Ensuring appropriate Department / Job/ Cost Centre coding are used for data processing

-Maintenance of proper, timely month-end procedures for accounts and audit purposes

-Assist with project accounting for specific programmes overseas

-Liaising with overseas organisations regarding finances for the occasional overseas Congress

Candidate requirements:

-Strong demonstrable experience in reconciling multiple bank accounts

-Solid understanding of financial controls and financial accounting

-International / NGO experience preferred but not essential

-Exchequer experience or other similar computerised finance system

-Strong Excel

-Part-qualified ACCA /CIMA preferred
