Job Details

We're looking for a lawyer to join our Legal team and play a leading role in providing data protection law and general legal advice to support the whole of BHF. This will include working closely with colleagues across the organisation on all aspects relating to GDPR compliance.

Based in our London Head Office, you'll join a small but dynamic and highly regarded legal team, previously shortlisted for a Law Society Excellence Award and will get involved in the work and activities of the BHF. You will also act as a business partner to one of the organisation's directorates, managing all of their legal needs with support from specialist lawyers in the team and the General Counsel.

About you

You'll be a fully qualified lawyer with a very strong academic background and sound experience in data protection law. With a proven ability to deal with a diverse workload, you'll have strong time management skills and be able to work under pressure and to short deadlines.

The role would suit a self-starter who is eager to get stuck in, innovate and make their mark. With a service orientated approach you will have excellent communication skills, able to work independently and take your own initiative.

With an interest in working in-house in a large charity you will not be afraid of taking on work outside of own academic ability or experience.

About us

When you work at the British Heart Foundation, you become a part of medical history. Part of a world leading organisation that has played a role in decades of life saving breakthroughs, from heart transplants and pacemakers to stents and clot busting drugs. And we're not about to stop any time soon. We are here to beat heartbreak forever. To stop heart and circulatory diseases devastating families. And if you want to help us get there sooner, you could be the Legal Counsel we need.
