Care and Learning Support Assistant (College) 

Our client, based on a 68 acre site near Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire, comprises a School, College and Care Home providing specialist services for people with severe epilepsy and other complex medical conditions. The Centre is within a commutable distance of Harlow, Bishops Stortford, Ware, Hertford & surrounding towns. 

Position: Care and Learning Support Assistant (College) 
Location: Much Hadham, East Hertfordshire (Commutable from Harlow, Stevenage, Chelmsford and surrounding areas) 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 07:15 to 14:45 and 14:15 to 21:45 with 20 minutes paid break, 5 shifts per week which includes 2 in 4 weekends 
Salary: £17,459 to £20,219 per annum, plus weekend enhancements and overtime opportunities

This dual role of Care and Learning Support Assistant offers lots of variety, working both in the college curriculum environment and also supporting learners to develop their independence and access a range of activities in the wider community, and supporting them with everyday living skills in a caring safer environment. 

About you: 

They provide comprehensive induction and continuous development. You are expected to work towards a level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care and / or a relevant qualification in learning. 

You may have experience of the following: Care and Learning Support Assistant, Support Assistant, Care Assistant, College Learners Support, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Learning Assistant, Trainee Support Assistant, Trainee Learning Assistant, etc.
