The organisation has a supported living service, based in Bishops Stortford, just a short walk to the town centre. The service offers 9 self-contained flats which house 12 people and this is supported by their Domiciliary Care Agency. Position: Care & Support Worker
Location: Bishops Stortford
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £16,127 to £17,459 per annum (£8.27 to £8.95 per hour) plus weekend enhancements and overtime opportunities

About the role:

Looking for that rewarding role? Why not support independent living, whilst assisting with leisure and day activities, personal care and general domestic duties. If you are motivated and enthusiastic with good communication skills and have an insight into care work and an interest in a career in this field, they would very much like to hear from you.

You will be working a mixture of early shifts and late shifts (07:15 to 14:45 and 14:15 to 21:45 with 20 minutes paid break). For full time care workers, this involves working 5 shifts which includes working 2 in 4 weekends. Part time is available (two, three shifts per week).

About you:

Experience is welcome, but not essential as there is no substitute for the right attitude and a caring nature. For this position it is essential that you hold a current valid UK driving licence as you will be expected to drive the organisation's vehicles.

You may have experience of the following: Support Worker, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Learning Disabilities, Social Care, Voluntary Sector, Mental Health Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Care Staff, Community Development, Care Worker, Vulnerable People, Social Worker, Not for Profit, NFP etc.
