Location: Much Hadham, East Hertfordshire (Commutable from Harlow, Stevenage, Chelmsford and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £25,178 to £27,867 per annum (£16.14 to £17.86 per hour)

About the role:

The School Nurse will work as a skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic care to young people. You will maintain daily running of the nursing department to provide outreach service to young people within their own home and school environment across the 24-hour provision.

The rota will include working alongside a team of nurses and periods working as a lone duty nurse. Shifts fall between the hours of 0700 to 21.30, working 5 days out of 7 including every other weekend.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be a first level NMC Registered Nurse (RGN / RNLD / RMH) and will have evidence of ongoing continuing professional development within specialty linked to clinical competencies. You will have a mentorship qualification or the willingness to undertake. You will also have experience of assessing and mentoring and the ability to plan and prioritise care for young people.

Additionally, you will have the ability to undertake clinical risk assessment. You will also have experience with having worked in similar client group (including learning disabilities) and experience of supervising and assessment student nurses. Experience in epilepsy is also essential.

You may have experience of the following: Nurse, School Nurse, Registered Nurse, Registered General Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, etc.
