This is more than just an admin role working for a national assistance dog charity!

Our client helps adults who have a physical disability or condition that affects their daily life and limits their independence by training their assistance dogs to support them. With almost 400 disabled people now living with a fully trained canine partner in the UK our client's reach continues to increase.

To help them create these amazing partnerships, they need amazing people. The organisation has an exciting opportunity to join their charity as an Applications & Aftercare Coordinator, based at their Southern Training Centre in beautiful countryside in Heyshott, West Sussex.

Position: Applications & Aftercare Administrator
Location: Heyshott, West Sussex
Hours: Full time/ 37.5 hours per week – part time/ job share considered
Salary: £15,881 to £18,683 per annum depending on experience

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join this friendly and welcoming team, working closely with the recipients of their life changing services and is a great opportunity to work in a role that makes a real difference.

In this rewarding role, you will be giving guidance and information to their applicants about their application for an assistance dog, and providing administrative support during the application process and to the team supporting their working partnerships. You will also be responsible for organising the Ceremony days, where the organisation's partners are invited to celebrate their successful partnerships. You will organise and support department meetings and training days, and be the first point of contact for telephone calls, enquiries and requests as well as have responsibility for logging information on their databases and keeping records updated.

About You:

This is more than just an admin role, you will need bags of initiative and be passionate about delivering the personal touch to their partners.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an administrative role, an excellent telephone manner and great IT skills. You’ll also need effective organisation and planning skills and experience dealing with confidential and sensitive data. You’ll need to be able to keep accurate records, ideally with database experience. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of disabilities.
