Supporter Engagement Executive 

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to consolidate their experience raising income from individuals, community and challenge events to join a fast-growing charity. A unique chance for the right individual looking for a more rewarding role that offers great development opportunities. 

This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience in supporter engagement, to take responsibility for managing their growing pipeline of new supporters, managing their exciting portfolio of events, and help build their social media profile through the active promotion of these. You will be a critical part of a small growing team who are passionate about improving the lives of people and families affected by blood cancer. 

Position: Supporter Engagement and Marketing Executive 
Location: Southwark, London SE1 
Hours: Full Time (Part time hours would be considered at a minimum of three days per week) 
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 FTE 

About the Role: 

With support from the Head of Fundraising, you will build relationships with existing supporters and donors, and increase their motivation to support the charity through effective communication skills. 

This will be a varied role where you can get involved in all relevant aspects of marketing and fundraising from the production of organisational literature, updating their website, to helping shape fundraising initiatives and managing the projects. 

About You: 

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and confident communicator, with the ability to engage with a wide range of supporter audiences. He /she will have a pro-active approach to building effective internal and external relationships and will be the first point of contact for donors, supporters and challenge event participants. 

You will have supported fundraising of different types, and had experience of donor motivation and management, possibly in a larger charity. You may now be looking for an opportunity to work more broadly, and take on more responsibility for your own initiatives, by becoming a key part of a small team. 

An ability to empathise with families affected by blood cancer or similar diagnosis, including bereaved relatives. 

This position requires the flexibility to work out of hours on occasion to provide support at events.
