Do you have experience writing press releases? Are you looking for a broad and encompassing role in communications?
An inspiring and established charity focused on improving women's health is seeking a Communications Officer to join their lively and dedicated communications team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, this person will proactively identify and maximise potential stories and in the process will build a blossoming and diverse catalogue of case studies, while also having responsibility for securing media opportunities across broadcast, national, regional and trade press. You will contribute to the development and delivery of creative campaigns and communications to reach a wide range of audiences that will increase public awareness and influence policy. The Communications Officer will also be involved with content production and will actively produce a range of collateral for scheduled newsletters as well as the charity's annual report.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional story teller and will relish working in a creative and impactful environment. It is essential that this person will have fantastic writing skills and strong attention to detail, and will be confident with writing impactful press releases that will reach diverse audiences and achieve organisational goals. An empathetic individual with strong interpersonal skills who is able to communicate with compassion is required, and therefore this position would suit somebody who has previously worked in a similar role within a charity.
Given the collaborative environment within the communications team, this person will be happy to immerse themselves at times in areas across social media, events and public affairs and policy.
