Description

The purpose of the role is to deliver a diverse range of B2B marketing projects to support the external marketing strategy across the marketing mix including PR, events and both online and offline media.

Marketing projects will enhance the businesses brand profile, drive lead generation for new business or encourage additional business from existing customers. Works closely with the wider solutions and business development team to deliver campaigns which reflect our propositions into our target audiences.

The role will also deliver on the aim of positioning as a thought leader in the financial services space achieving this through the delivery of PR and communications campaigns.

Key Accountabilities:

People

1. Work closely with the wider business development team to formulate marketing plans that support their objective and targets.

2. Ability to share marketing concepts and ideas in a logical and commercial way.

3. Promote team work and a culture of pro-activity, urgency and flexibility.

Customer

1. Scope and develop effective marketing campaigns which reflect our propositions. Utilise the most appropriate channels across the marketing mix to drive required lead generation within our target audience.

2. Hands on management of a variety of agencies including both PR and creative to ensure they translate our propositions correctly and produce work which resonates with our target audience.

3. Raise organisations brand profile across the market ensuring regular PR and social media activity linked to our propositions

4. Manage and regularly update corporate website with new content which reflect our propositions and drive appropriate traffic

5. Positioning the organisation as experts and thought leaders within the financial services space

Financial

1. Deliver results cost effectively within a tight budget.

2. Manage day to day marketing budget with finance.

3. Closely manage suppliers day to day to deliver value.

Process

1. Support Head of Marketing or Solutions Director to translate propositions into effective marketing materials.

2. Monitor effectiveness of all activity and report monthly. Use evaluation to refine and improve future marketing campaigns.

Profile

The successful Marketing Manager will be:

Essential:

  • B2B Marketing experience
  • Experience across the marketing mix including traditional and digital channels
  • Strong agency management experience
  • Knowledge of using marketing systems such are Salesforce, Dotmailer, google analytics and wordpress.

Desirable:

  • Degree in marketing, communications or similar discipline
  • 8-10 years plus experience in similar marketing role
  • Financial Services experience
