Prospectus is pleased to be working with a community based charity in North London, whose mission is to create a connected community where everyone benefits from living there. Through providing social and support services, they're vision is for local residents to become acquaintances with people they would not otherwise have met, for mutual benefit. They are seeking a temporary Deputy Play Work Manager to support their Summer Programme. This is offered on a 5 week assignment.
As their Deputy Play Work Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a play provision along with the smooth running of their programme of activities, which responds to the needs and interests of local children and young people aged 8-12 years old. Promoting positive relationships with key stakeholders including families, external bodies and internal staff, you will create an environment which is safe, and where young people can access resources that promotes play opportunities and addressing different play types.
To be successful, you will have significant experience of working with children in a play environment and be in possess of a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification. You must be a strong, personable and experienced individual who has the ability to lead and support staff through mentoring where appropriate combined with proven experience of deputising in the absence of a manager. Due to the nature of this position, you must also be able to work effectively with stakeholders and develop positive relationships not just with your team, but also with parents, carers and the wider community. Having a working knowledge of Ofsted standards and expectations is essential, Â as is the commitment to the development of young people.
To be considered, you must be available to start on Monday, 23rd July and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS (Adults and Children) that is registered to the online update service. The working pattern for this position in Monday-Friday, 8.15am - 6.30pm (45 minute unpaid break).
