Position: Senior Fundraising Executive - Challenge Events & Mass Participation (2 positions available) 
Location: Central London, WC1N 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: £Competitive

About the role: 

The Community Department are seeking two experienced Senior Fundraising Executives to join their events team, one within Challenge Events and one within the Mass Participation Team. 

The Challenge Events team manages a diverse portfolio of third party sporting fundraising events, which currently includes Virgin Money London Marathon, Royal Parks Half Marathon, Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100, Brighton Marathon and many more. The challenge events team also manages a portfolio of events for Sparks, the children’s medical research charity, who became part of the family in 2017 and this role involves support of Sparks event delivery. 

The Mass Participation team manages a diverse portfolio of mass participation fundraising events and products, which currently includes RBC Race for the Kids, London Santa Dash, Bake It Better as well as a tower climb event. 

Both teams have seen incremental growth over the past three years and there are ambitious plans to grow significantly further in 2018-19 and beyond. 

Both post holders will be a key member of the team, taking ownership of project delivery as well as strategic input and helping to drive growth through the marketing and engagement plans. The roles will offer huge possibilities to expand your skills and knowledge, as well as work with a world-famous hospital and brand. 

About you: 

They’re looking for candidates with a real passion for and expertise in Challenge and Mass Participation events. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Have significant experience within a fundraising environment, within events / challenge events / mass participations and / or community fundraising. 
- Have proven experience of effective event / project / account management. 
- Have experience of building marketing plans, ideally on a multi-channel basis. 
- Be an excellent communicator at all levels, with great written and oral presentation skills. 
- Be able to multi-task in a busy environment, solve problems and be innovative. 
- Have great business acumen and be able to think strategically 
- Be positive and approachable, especially with their supporters.
