A great opportunity has arisen for an Interim Head of Fundraising for award-winning charity based in Derby to lead the Fundraising Team, developing and implementing the charity fundraising strategy and plans to deliver a significant increase in fundraised income. This will be a temporary 3- 6 months FTC

Key Responsibilities will include:

To lead the Fundraising Team ensuring that:
They develop a brand and a voice that engages people to join the cause, take actions or donate to the charity to increase our services and extend our reach
They build a Fundraising Team with drive, creativity, external orientation, a practical output focussed mind-set and which lives out our values in all that we do
Tehy become well known externally and respected for our values, insights and innovations around working with older people to give them the best possible quality of life
Develop and deliver a Fundraising growth plan to enable the organisation to do significantly more for older people:
Produce a clear, costed rationale for investment and expansion of our fundraising capability to achieve sustainable, increased net income reviewing strategies for legacy giving, individual giving, major donor, faith community corporate, community and institutional funding,
Maximise all existing income streams and develop new activities growing a new supporter base of volunteers, partners, and donors
Lead a transformation in our digital fundraising activities
Partner with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling fund raising propositions which align to the brand and policy/advocacy messages
Gain commitment to the Fundraising Strategy and Business Plan by ensuring they are communicated effectively throughout the organisation in the context of the overall strategy.
Develop and deliver rolling one and three-year fundraising plans that allows the charity to meet its strategic objectives.
Develop, embed, support and enable Care Homes, Housing Schemes and Live at Home Community fundraising operating model
Build and develop a fundraising team to:
Create long lasting and high value relationships within the general public, partners, institutions and church sectors to connect more people with what they can help achieve with us for older people in the UK
Focus on output and delivery of more impact for older people in the UK
Attract, retain and develop the best people for each role with supporting talent development and create cross-organisation development
Manage performance against the business plan and budget
Corporate Activities:
Present reports to both the Board and the Leadership Team on the performance of the Fundraising activities
Participate in internal corporate working groups as required
General

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

A professional with senior managerial experience and a wide range of business skills and a proven track record in generating income and business.
Experience of marketing, fundraising and/or sales promotion.
Experience of setting, monitoring and achieving organisational standards and targets.
Experience of appraising, training and coaching a staff team.
Experience of database growth and management to maximise insights and return. (Desirable)
Experience of fundraising, marketing and/or communications in a charitable organisation. (Desirable)
Experience of fundraising, marketing and/or communications in a charitable organisation (Desirable).
Experience of raising high levels of voluntary income. (Desirable).

Ability to think strategically and promote charity s work in innovative and engaging ways to different audiences in various media
Ability to implement practical creative solutions with speed, clarity and authority
Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, build and develop a high performance team.
Analytical skills and the ability to represent data and reports in a clear and concise format.
Excellent self-management skills including ability to plan, deal with complexity, prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
Strong IT skills (e.g. word processing and email).
Persuasive and influential.
Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels.
Strong team player.
