Community Fundraising Officer
Prospectus is excited to be partnering with Bowel Cancer UK and Beating Bowel Cancer, who merged in January 2018 and together are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of all those affected by bowel cancer in the UK. To achieve their mission, they enable and fund research, provide support and information to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all. They are currently looking to recruit a Community Fundraising Officer to provide direct support to community fundraising groups and partners.
The Community Fundraising Officer will work within an incredibly busy and ambitious fundraising team that build incredible relationships with community supporters across the UK, who in turn will receive an outstanding supporter experience. They will ensure the supporters are given tools and resources to maximise their support for the organisation. This support can be both financial and non-financial and so the Officer will be guided by the supporter on their aspirations and motivations.
The selected candidate will benefit from a new and emerging five-year fundraising strategy and a strong, engaged senior leadership team committed to fundraising at every level. You will have a good level of community fundraising experience and will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The selected candidate will be a cause-led fundraiser committed to providing support and guidance for patients and their families.
