We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk Manager to join our Risk and Assurance team and lead on building a risk culture that embraces and values day to day risk management, enabling the BHF to take informed risks in the work that we do.

You will be a Risk Champion, winning hearts and minds, whilst providing advice and constructively challenge where appropriate, providing guidance on all issues relevant to risk management.

You'll establish and maintain a highly effective risk management framework throughout the BHF, overseeing the maintenance and administration of the BHF's risk management tool (JCAD) and effectively managing BHF's portfolio of insurance policies

About you

With a relevant qualification in Risk, Insurance Management or Internal Audit would be a distinct advantage e.g. IRMCert, Cert CII, CIA, you'll have demonstrable detailed understanding of risk management and will have a passion and enthusiasm to be a risk champion.

You'll be a confident communicator, with a real passion for risk and be ambitious and results focussed. With excellent analytical and numeracy skills you will have a strong commercial acumen matched by excellent negotiation skills. You'll be able to develop strong working relationships with internal and external partners and be confident in the work we do, possessing a flexible approach.

Risk management experience is desirable, consideration will also be given to applicants with limited experience
