Position: Supporter Journey and Retention Officer - Memory Walk 
Location: Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland 
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: From £28,283 to £32,908 actual per annum, depending on location

About the role: 

We are looking to recruit a Supporter Journey & Retention officer to work as part of the Mass Participation fundraising team specifically working on Memory Walk, the Alzheimer’s Society’s flagship mass participation fundraising event, which continues to grow every year. 

Memory Walk is a series of sponsored walks, with an income target of £9m and a participation target of 110,000 this year. Memory Walk is a sector leading event and is one of the top five Mass Participation charity events in the UK. 

The Supporter Journey & Retention officer will lead the planning and implementation of the Supporter Journey, working across multiple channels to improve pay-in rate and increase average gifts. You will also be involved in producing journeys for a range of different events, including night walks, long walks. You will also be involved in developing and organising a brand new event– “Your Walk. Your Way” ensuring it is in line with external market trends and meets ambitious growth objectives. 

The main area of responsibility will be to develop and deliver stewardship assets such as direct mail, calling and email communications, and working as part of a team, delivering all aspects of the Memory Walk stewardship plans. 

About you: 

Working in a fast paced and responsive environment, you will possess good time management and negotiation skills. Good communication skills are a must for this role as you will be engaging with colleagues at all levels across the Society as well as members of the public and agencies. 

With your strong attention to detail, pro-active nature and ability to build successful relationships, you will quickly establish yourself as a key member of the Mass Participation Events team.
