Our client's Vision is that every missing person is found safe.

Somebody goes missing in the UK every 90 seconds. They are a non-judgemental, highly skilled team of staff and volunteers working around the clock for everyone who needs them. They provide free 24-hour confidential support, help, advice by phone, email, text and online, including the opportunity to reconnect. The organisation also coordinates a UK wide network of people, businesses and media to join the search when someone goes missing.

Our client is an independent charity that relies on donations.

Position: Family Engagement Senior Coordinator
Location: South West, London
Job Type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 28 hours per week, some out of office hours work will be quired
Salary: £28,000 to £31,000 per annum pro rata?

About the role:

The Family Engagement Senior Coordinator will lead the participation and engagement of the families and friends of missing people with the organisation and with their Family Support services.

This is a new role based in Services and working closely with colleagues in Fundraising and Communications, and Policy and Research teams.

The organisation's strategic aim is that everyone using their services continues to receive high quality support based on their needs, and the Family Engagement Coordinator will make great strides towards their ambition to put families in the lead of their work with them.

The organisation wants people with a missing loved one to actively influence and improve their services, and they know that there is so much more they can do to reach and help families.

The Family Engagement Senior Coordinator will scope and develop the organisation's exciting new digital services for families – created with families and tailored to their needs. These will include a new online family support community, to include advice and guidance for families, an online space for peer support and advice, and a toolkit to support families searching for their loved ones.

About you:

- Experience of engaging service users to develop services / share their story
- Experience of providing emotional support to individuals
- Experiencing a wide range of complex issues, including trauma and loss
- The ability to write in an accessible and engaging way that is suitable for their audience of family members

You may have experience of the following: Family Engagement Manager, Family Engagement Worker, Visitor Centre Manager, Customer Service Manager, Services Manager, Project Coordinator, Family Services Manager, Senior Support Worker, Family Services, Support Work, Social Work, Advocacy, Mentor, Mentoring, etc.
