Position: Business Manager (Fundraising) 
Location: Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland 
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: From £43,316 to £48,732 actual per annum, depending on location

About the role: 

We are looking for an effective, enthusiastic, first class communicator to join us as Business Manager for our high achieving and ambitious Fundraising Directorate. 

You will work with our Director of Fundraising to plan and monitor business, planning and performance activities and be responsible for ensuring that the Leadership Team is supported in sharing management information, forecasting and evaluation that underpins a budget in excess of £100 million. The role will also encompass our rolling planning requirements and ensuring that the Directorate is aligned with the overall Society strategy. 

About you: 

You will have a solid business management background, from any sector, that includes experience of detailed planning and project management; understanding of how local business plans feed into organisational strategies; and a practical approach to supporting multiple teams to produce united budgets, plans and forecasts. The role requires excellent people and influencing skills as well as the ability to take a bird’s-eye view and communicate risks and opportunities in a constructive way. Some knowledge of a thriving income generation environment would be advantageous. 

You will be able to work both independently and connect as part of a team, to deliver within a complex, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary directorate. 

You will need to demonstrate a track record of undertaking analysis and driving activity through others. Your planning and project management skills will be backed up by a good understanding of business systems and processes that need to be in place to deliver on-target budgets and successful projects.
