Our client is a national charity that’s been supporting people with learning disabilities since 1962. They put the people they support at the centre of everything they do and use their experience to work in partnership with them to provide personalised services to more than 2,500 people.
Join a brand new staff team that is being set up to help an adult with learning disabilities move into their own home. They are about to commence this rewarding project which will change this person’s life.
Position: Waking Night Support Worker
Location: Ingol, North Preston, Lancashire
Job Type: Full and part time, Permanent
Salary: £9.00 per hour
Benefits: Apprenticeships - gain a fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care whilst earning, 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff), a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, staff rewards, family-friendly policies, discounted mobile phone and car schemes and a confidential Employee Helpline.

About the role:
Their vision is to ensure that the people they support with additional needs such as challenging behaviour are given the same opportunities as everyone else.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will enable the people they support to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal support needs. Waking Night Workers are required to remain awake throughout the night to support individuals with personal support needs as required.
About you:
To be a successful Waking Night Support Worker having the right values, confidence and attitudes is more important than experience. Key qualities will be a natural resilience to challenges, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other agencies, self-motivation and most importantly the ability to be passionate about promoting independence and active lifestyles.
For these roles you will be part of a new team who will have a specially designed induction and bespoke package of additional training as well as a dedicated manager who will coach you along the way.
They also support and encourage our employees to develop their careers through NVQ courses.
