Job Details

Prospectus is proud to be partnering with a leading sheltered housing provider, striving to help homeless young people build firm foundations by facilitating their independence and integration into society. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Digital Inclusion Community Connector to lead a programme aimed at enabling service users to become digitally literate.

As their Digital Inclusion Community Connector, you will work collaboratively with partner organisations to build a network and portfolio of stakeholders who will support in delivering services that will enable service users to develop their skills and confidence when interacting online. Being digitally literate can help people increase their confidence, independence and wellbeing which in turn brings greater choice and control over their lives. This position is pivotal in the successful delivery of these programmes and through recruiting volunteers and individuals from other organisations, you will inspire, motivate and encourage action across the sector, enabling homelessness services to lead the digital rights movements for the most disadvantaged in communities.

To be considered, you will have proven experience of working within a homeless service with vulnerable or marginalised groups along with demonstrable involvement in delivering learning activities and/or workshops on a one to one and group setting. Due to the nature of this position, you must have significant knowledge and experience of digital technology and the benefits of digital inclusion and how it can enable people to succeed in life. Finally, an understanding of the barriers faced by homeless and vulnerable people especially in relation to developing skills is essential, as is previous networking experience.

If you are interested in making a positive change and contributing to the financial independence of supported housing service users, please send your CV in Word Format (a Cover Letter is not required at this stage). Suitable candidates will then be contacted and will be asked to complete an application form.
