Harris Hill are excited to be working with a well-established children's charity to find a Philanthropy Manager to join the team. You will be responsible stewarding and developing new and existing support from individual donors.

Key responsibilities:
- create, approve and deliver aspects of the team's annual business plan and budget with your manager
- Grow relationships and deliver income from donors/potential donors that you are responsible for
- Identifying new potential donors from a range of sources to ensure the strength of the Major Giving department prospect pipeline.
- Use a variety of communication methods including written and verbal, building positive relationships with influential people with the ability to negotiate successfully to achieve positive outcome.
- Improve and capture knowledge and understanding of supporters and donors proactively.
- Conduct thorough research through a numerous sources, to acquire relevant information that can contribute to applications, proposals, donor strategies and fundraising communications.


You will have the following skills and experience:
- The ability to secure support/business from wealthy individuals, ideally through face to face interactions, with demonstrable personal experience.
- Written communication skills to analyse, interpret and present complex information to influence others successfully.
- The ability to verbally communicate information, including direct personal approaches for donations and project updates to a range of audiences in a clear, inspiring and confident way.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to operate and negotiate successfully with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Organisational skills to plan and manage your own work to deliver your personal objectives, identifying conflicting demands and establishing clear priorities.
- Knowledge of philanthropic motivations and current trends in philanthropy to be able to identify and exploit new opportunities to a successful conclusion.
- The ability to think strategically and create and implement fundraising strategies.
