Project Manager (Finance)

Position: Service Lead 
Location: London 
Job Type: Full Time, 12 Months Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 36 hours per week 
Salary: £36,000 per annum 
Benefits: 25 days annual leave, up to 10% employer's pension contribution 

About the role: 

The Service Lead will ensure the delivery and growth of an agreed portfolio of Information Services products, ensuring allocated services remain fit for purpose and business plan targets are achieved. You will undertake analytical tasks required to deliver on portfolio. 

Responsibilities: 

- Manage agreed portfolio of products, ensuring that all elements of the process and customer outputs are fit for purpose. 
- Lead on renewals process, defining pricing and other relevant terms, working with customer services, marketing and sales teams to ensure that all possible channels are exploited to maximise the take-up of services. 
- Liaise with customers and faculties on a continual basis to review and develop services in line with user requirements and anticipation of future needs, ensuring they address the most relevant issues facing the public sector. 
- Lead steering groups and review meetings, running and chairing client meetings as required to ensure appropriate customer engagement. 
- Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction targets and monitoring how members regard the service, responding to customer feedback to deliver changes required. 
- Agree service timetables in collaboration with the Programme Manager, ensuring workload is appropriately timetabled and prioritised to guarantee the timely delivery of services. 
- Lead and undertake analytical and development work for product areas, directing team as required. 
- Ensure all questionnaires, reports and other outputs are critically reviewed, ensure data is appropriately validated and that processes are implemented to deliver services. 
- Supervise the work of direct reports to ensure the highest quality standards, timeliness and accuracy across all outputs. 
- Identify opportunities and actively work on the scoping, development and implementation of new products and services. 
- Maximise internal opportunities to promote and cross sell services (e.g. network events, panels, conferences, newsletters) where appropriate. 
- Ensure the profile and development of products are maintained, through suitable web and marketing awareness strategies. 
- Provide support to other parts of the organisation on research/consultancy projects as directed. 

About you: 

- Educated to degree or equivalent 
- In depth knowledge of local government services and finance 
- Proven people management experience 
- Proven experience liaising with stakeholders in a senior capacity 
- Extensive statistical and analytical experience 
- Experience at delivering client projects to schedule 
- Proven experience within a performance measurement environment 
- Strong project management skills
