Fundraising Policy Project Manager (Interim)

Our client a leading homelessness charity are seeking an experience manager to support in the fundraising team, you will have experience in the sector with project management skills, alongside the understanding of Fundraising regulations and auditing.

This role comes after having completed an intensive GDPR Preparation Project in the 12 months leading up to 25th 2018. A fundraising standards and policy audit has been identified as a key follow-on project from GDPR.

This role will lead on fundraising standards and policy audit. Working with key stakeholders across fundraising to research and document exiting fundraising policies and processes as per the Fundraising Code of Practice, to ensure delivery of high quality compliant fundraising for their supporters.

The Project manager will be based within the Data Management & Insight (DMI) team within the fundraising division and will report to the Head of DMI.

Essential Skills

  • Must have excellent project management experience
  • Must have experience of auditing
  • Must have the ability to work with senior stakeholders on a complex project
  • Must have the ability to interpret complex and legal information (as per the Code of Fundraising)
  • Experience in policy management and information management would be an advantage

The post holder will have Project Management and audit experience, be a self-starter and able to work on their own initiative. They will have an eye for detail. This role will work across key stakeholders in fundraising and beyond and they will need to develop positive work relationships quickly to drive forward the project successfully.

The successful candidate will ideally have an in-depth understanding of the regulatory environment, including the code of Fundraising Practice.
