Our client is a leading hospice charity - their vision is making the difference when it matters the most. They are the children’s hospice for Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, and the adult hospice for Luton and south Bedfordshire.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance to join their team to lead and direct the finance services of the Charity.

About the role

Qualified as an accountant, the Head of Finance will manage a complex work programme along with competing demands and priorities. The successful candidate will line manage the finance department, including volunteers, while delivering organisation wide financial expertise.

It is essential that the successful applicant has knowledge of accounting and financial reporting systems, has more than 2 years` experience of working in a finance team, and has excellent analytical and presentational skills.

The Head of Finance will also be an integral member of the Operational Management Team (OMT), instilling and enabling a culture of responsibility, accountability, authority, drive and support at every level.
