As the Senior Reporting Accountant in the team you will work closely with the Finance Business Partners and Financial Accounting Team to provide the RSPB and its other entities with financial management information, up to Management Board and Trustee level, to support financial governance and aid decision making.

You will be comfortable with systems and have strong excel and analytical skills. You will need to have experience of and an ability to collect data for analysis and interpretation for regular financial reporting containing strategic, financial and business information, to strict deadlines.

You will gain the respect and confidence of the colleagues you support through strong communication skills (presentation, written and oral) and your ability to constructively challenge plans and interpret outcomes.

You will add value through gaining an intimate understanding of the RSPB's budget and forecast processes and have the ability to translate those processes into analytical data, contributing to business performance and the requirements of the finance function with the charity's need.

You will be a part (nearing completion) or fully qualified accountant with up to date technical knowledge and a thirst for progressing in your profession. We will want the successful candidate to influence change and use their skill set to further drive the charities objectives forward. You will also be comfortable working under pressure, to tight deadlines and interacting with people at all levels inside the RSPB.
