Junior Systems Administrator 

They own almost 7000 social housing properties across the middle of England and take their roles in their customer’s lives really seriously, putting the customer first in everything they do. They have a wide variety of customers and have ambitious targets to deliver the best service they can in an ever-changing landscape. 

Position: Systems Administrator / Developer 
Location: Gainsborough 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37 hours each week, between 7am and 7pm Monday - Friday. Most people are here from 8:30am to 5pm (4:30pm on a Friday) 
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum 
Benefits: At least 25 days annual leave every year, with bank holidays on top of this. An employer matched pension contribution of up to 8%. The opportunity to undertake additional company sponsored professional training. They like to get face to face with customers and suppliers, so a full driving licence would be great to have but isn’t required for this role. They like to be smart, so you’ll need to wear office smart clothing and don’t forget your ID badge! They want people to know you, so you’ll work with a variety of stakeholders such as; other team members, Managers and Directors, the Board, their customers, members of the public, contractors, employees from other agencies etc.

About the role: 

Responsible for the support of new or existing business and web systems / applications and their integration to meet business requirements including designing, modifying, improving, integrating, testing and identifying any technical problems from back end system to full front-end user support. 

Administration and full end user support of our client’s core Business systems and their operating platforms, including Housing (people and property) management, Asset Management and Repairs & Maintenance contract management. 

Essential Skills / Experiences: 

- Educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience with a suitable qualification in an IT related field 
- Have excellent knowledge and experience of business systems / database and web technologies 
- Experienced in creating technical and process documentation and in training non-technical staff 
- Have an agile mind set, our client is ever changing and you’ll need to help deliver this 
- Working in social housing is a challenging but rewarding career, you’ll be helping to bring real change to their customer’s lives 

Desirable Skills / Experiences: 

- Experience of Housing Management Systems such as Orchard 
- Excellent knowledge of the Housing association sector 
- Detailed technical knowledge of SQL, Progress and Server operating systems / Active Directory / web technologies 
- Excellent understanding of GDPR and Cyber security 
- An understanding of user interface / interaction design as applicable to enterprise software and web-based applications 
- Experience of developing good relationships with suppliers and vendors 
- Written and verbal Communication skills to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical personnel 
- Experience and understanding of SharePoint management / administration 
- Evidence of continuing professional development
