Compton Care
Wolverhampton
Compton Care partners with people to embrace life with a complex or incurable illness. The charity is a dynamic healthcare provider of specialist palliative care services and has served its communities for over 36 years. The charity has two primary service sites; the 19th Century Compton Hall providing an 18-bed inpatient unit, day therapy centre, supportive care centre and The Cedars offering Lymphoedema care and bereavement services. The vast proportion of care, over 70%, is delivered in the community, wherever patients call home.
Being leaders in palliative care requires leaders in governance and Compton Care wants to add two trustees as they develop their Board. Strategically-minded people who can ensure the charity delivers its purpose and serves its beneficiaries will add value to a Board who have overseen the repositioning and rebranding of Compton Care as part of their growth strategy aimed at revolutionising the way in which people with advanced, complex and incurable conditions are cared for.
With considerable business management experience coupled with a background in Health or linked sectors, you will be strategic and able to discharge the responsibilities of trusteeship. One trustee vacancy requires an accountancy qualification in addition to the above. Some awareness of the area that Compton Care serves would be beneficial, and you must be able to attend meetings and events in Wolverhampton. Above all, you must be committed to Making Everyday Extraordinary for the Compton community.
The closing date is 9am Friday 13th July. To request an information pack, please email executive@tpp.co.uk. Alternatively, please contact Rob Hayter or Brigitte Stundner on 020 7198 6060.
