Job Details
The Royal Horticultural Society is the nation’s largest gardening charity. We are looking to recruit a Junior PA to join our friendly team. In this exciting Junior PA role you will work with the Executive Assistant to the Director General and President to provide an effective and efficient administrative support to the Director General and President’s office.
As a Junior PA, you will be trained in a broad range of skills that are required to be successful in this role. Candidates should have experience of working effectively on administrative procedures, systems and processes. Candidates will need excellent MS office and excellent organisational skills, and have a very high standard of spoken and written English. Candidates should be able to communicate well with all RHS colleagues in a professional manner. You must be able to work well under pressure at times, with a varied workload and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise when needed. You will be required to assist with arranging meetings including booking rooms, arranging catering, making travel arrangements, processing expenditure claims and raising purchase orders, photocopying, sending papers and dealing with the incoming post.
The candidate will ideally be passionate about horticulture and the work of the RHS. You should have a good sense of humour, a highly professional approach, and an openness to get involved in a huge range of activities. This role offers really exciting opportunities for the right candidate.
