Job Details

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Supporter Giving & Engagement Officer for a children related charity in order to contribute to the delivery of multi-channel campaigns that are highly personalised and engage supporters in a wide range of activities including fundraising, volunteering, campaigning and spiritual engagement, to increase their life time value. This will be a temporary contract for an approximately 2 month in London.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Working with the Supporter Giving and Engagement Manager to plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns including direct mail, email, online, social, mobile/SMS and telephone
Ensure end-to-end delivery of direct marketing campaigns, including: planning; briefing; copy and creative development; proofing; sign-off; print and production process; audience selection; data briefing and processing, results monitoring; KPI reporting & writing end of campaign reviews
Work with the Supporter Giving & Engagement Manager to develop and prioritise testing as part of a value generating supporter journey, with clear segmentation and testing matrices, taking action based on data and insight to ensure maximum learning and income from each campaign
Work together with other teams to develop communications strategies, journeys and testing plans that are highly personalised and relevant to supporter segments to generate voluntary income
Ensure all campaign activities and materials are produced accurately and in compliance with relevant data protection, gift aid legislation and in line with best practice standards and processes
Keep abreast of competitor activity and trends inside and outside the sector, sharing good practice and ideas with relevant teams
Work with and brief a range of internal teams or external agencies to aid research, development and delivery of new campaigns, messages and supporter journeys.

Work as a committed member of the Supporter Giving & Engagement team to ensure a consistent approach to delivering impact and income.

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Excellent project management skills that deliver to deadline, to budget, across multiple teams and achieve goals (essential)
Strong communicator with excellent oral and written skills, attention to detail, with the ability to write, evaluate and proof-read audience and channel-specific copy, including experience of copy writing to meet a brief (essential)
Good numeracy and data analysis skills. Understanding of end-to-end data processes, segmentation and data analysis. Able to interpret large sets of data to spot trends & adjust fundraising activity to account for insights (essential)
Ability to bring together internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects to agreed objectives (essential)
Experience working in a fundraising or marketing environment preferably in a direct marketing or digital function (desirable)
Excellent computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 packages, especially Excel, Word and Outlook (essential)
Understanding of direct mail, email, telemarketing and SMS campaigns (essential)

Passionate interest in pursuing a professional career in direct marketing, digital marketing or fundraising (essential)
Exposure to managing projects, including briefing, creating schedules and working to deadlines, evaluating and results of campaigns to recommend future activity (essential)
Working to and exceeding targets and KPIs (essential)
Experience of delivering income generation communications in a business or charity (essential)
Experience using email and SMS broadcast systems, including creating personalised content for a variety of audiences. Experience of using Engaging Networks (desirable)
Practical knowledge of current digital marketing techniques such as email, SMS, remarketing, mobile donations, paid search, display and social media (desirable)
Knowledge or experience of Raisers Edge database or alternative CRM (desirable)
Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable)
